The Oregon square gazebo by Moia, with its perfect 3x3 meter proportions, redefines the concept of outdoor architecture, offering an ideal synthesis between structural rigor and textile dynamism. Designed to enhance valuable gardens, patios and commercial dehors, Oregon stands out for its important load-bearing shaft in treated iron and for a sophisticated double track system. This technology allows you to independently manage both the blackout side curtains and the mosquito net sheets, transforming the structure if necessary into a protected open-air lounge, a cool shaded veranda or an elite pavilion sealed against insects for your evening dinners.

Technical Specifications and Dimensions

  • Plan development: 3 x 3 m square plan (9 m2 of covered surface)
  • Thickness of load-bearing poles: Reinforced round section of Ø 72 mm (maximum flexural resistance)
  • Maximum height at the top of the dome: 2.74 m (large internal volume and excellent habitability)
  • Frame material: Pre-galvanized structural iron with Anthracite Epoxy coating
  • Cover fabric: 210 g/m2 heavy polyester with water-repellent industrial resin finish
  • Aerodynamic safety: Turret system with upper wind chimney

Textile Configurations and Color Palette

The Oregon collection plays on neutral and warm earth tones, combined with a dark body with a strong graphic and modern impact:

  • Anthracite Epoxy Iron Frame: The 72 mm uprights and perimeter beams have a matt anthracite finish, solid, elegant and immune to passing trends.
  • Top Cover (Sand): The 210 g polyester roof sheet is available in a refined Sand colour, which shields the sun's rays by diffusing a warm, soft and relaxing light inside.
  • Perimeter Curtains and Mosquito Nets (Ecrù): Both the set of 4 opaque side curtains and the set of 4 anti-insect mosquito nets adopt the versatile and bright Ecrù shade, creating a high-level sartorial contrast.

Details on Materials and Maintenance Guidelines

1. Load-bearing architecture in Epoxy Iron (Ø 72 mm)

The load-bearing framework is entirely made of 72 mm iron tubing, heat treated with epoxy powders (Epoxy). This coating seals the metal, protecting it from moisture, rust and UV rays.
Use and Maintenance: Periodically clean the poles with a soft cloth, fresh water and neutral soap. Avoid using stiff brushes, scouring pads or acids. Since it is a seasonal structure, the textile parts must be dismantled in autumn to protect them from winter wear and the weight of any snowfall.

2. Resin Fabric 210 g/m2 and Curtains for Mosquito Nets

The polyester of the roof undergoes a resin process which increases its dimensional stability and water repellency. The curtains and mosquito nets run on separate guides and close centrally using zips.
Use and Maintenance: Clean the fabrics when they are assembled and stretched, using a soft brush with warm water and neutral soap. Rinse thoroughly. Make sure that the side curtains and the top are perfectly dry before placing them in the storage bag to avoid the formation of mould.

Advantages and Design

  • Total Protection modularity (Double Track): Oregon offers four configurations of use. It can be experienced completely open (roof only), partially protected (only mosquito nets to eliminate insects while letting the breeze pass through), totally sheltered (ecru curtains closed for maximum privacy and protection from the evening wind) or combined.
  • Monumental Square Base Stability (Ø 72 mm): Unlike standard gazebos with slender poles, the 72 mm diameter offers an immovable static anchor. The 3x3 m floor plan distributes the load forces symmetrically, ensuring impeccable structural stability.
  • Windproof Self-Ventilating Dome: The roof design integrates an upper turret equipped with a windproof chimney. This element acts as a relief valve: rising air currents or sudden gusts pass through the internal slot, canceling the sail effect and preventing dangerous lifting or twisting of the frame.
  • Pre-drilled Fixing Flanges: A solid metal plate with holes for anchoring to the ground is welded to the base of each 72 mm upright. This allows for rigid and safe fixing using dowels on concrete, stone and stoneware floors, or using reinforced pegs on the turf.

FAQ

Do the mosquito nets and fabric curtains close tightly together?
Yes. Both the four mosquito nets and the four ecru polyester side curtains are equipped with high-strength central zippers. This allows each side of the Oregon gazebo to be perfectly sealed, preventing access to even the smallest flying insects and creating an effective barrier against side breezes.

Can the side curtains and roof fabric be machine washed?
To preserve the waterproof resin coating on the roof and the curtains' texture, hand washing is highly recommended. Wash the stretched surfaces with a sponge, warm water, and neutral soap. If you wish to machine wash the side awnings, use a cold ultra-delicate cycle (max 30°C), absolutely avoiding the spin cycle and the dryer.

Can the gazebo remain assembled in the garden year-round, even in winter?
No. The Oregon gazebo is designed exclusively as a sunscreen and outdoor shelter for the spring and summer seasons. During the winter months, the roof fabric, mosquito nets, and side awnings must be removed. If the area is subject to heavy snowfall, freezing temperatures, or gale-force winds, it is strongly recommended that the iron frame be removed to prevent structural damage caused by the weight of the snow or abnormal dynamic stresses.
