2-seater garden sofa
The Tami 2-seater sofa, born from the creative flair of renowned designer Patrick Norguet, redefines the experience of outdoor relaxation through a modular seating system with sophisticated and minimalist elegance. The beating heart of the project lies in its innovative engineering base: two special aluminum alloy profiles that allow for quick and flawless assembly of the support slats with a patented interlocking system. Conceived as a versatile oasis of comfort for gardens, patios, and prestigious terraces, this compact two-seater sofa is part of a rich family of modular furnishings (armchairs, corner modules, and low tables). Each element is highly customizable in terms of top finishes and boasts a wide range of textile coverings, from Basic to Premium options, all sharing excellent quality and aesthetic standards.
The sofa's supporting platform can be configured with two exclusive types of slats, giving the furniture a distinctive aesthetic:
The base is made of two special powder-coated 6060 aluminum alloy profiles, combined with AISI316 stainless steel joining details. The armrests and backrests are made of aluminum alloy tubes and plates, assembled with molded nylon elements.
Maintenance: Periodically clean the surfaces with a soft cloth using water or neutral detergents, more frequently in seaside or high-humidity locations. Prolonged and continuous exposure to intense UV radiation or low temperatures can affect the colored polyester upholstery; it is therefore recommended to clean and store the sofa in a sheltered place during prolonged periods of non-use and in winter.
WPC is resistant to UV rays, humidity, weather, and bacteria. It does not splinter, is resistant to insects, and does not require protective coating.
Maintenance: Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner. For dirt stains, use a laundry brush with warm water and neutral soap. For oil stains, dab promptly with absorbent paper before washing with warm water and neutral soap. Note: Do not use pressure washers, bleach, chlorine, or strongly acidic/alkaline detergents.
The bamboo slats undergo a special heat treatment process at 200°C and subsequent heat compression, making the fibers stronger and harder than any other wood, protecting them from fungi and ensuring the highest level of durability.
Maintenance: Since it is a natural, untreated material, it is subject to stains and surface oxidation (tendency to gray over time). To counteract these effects, we recommend applying a specific protective oil at least once a year. For ordinary cleaning and surface sanitization, simply use water and neutral liquid detergents.
EMU adopts the most advanced fabric technologies, making them resistant to water splashes, UV rays, salt water, and sweat. Any slight differences in color between batches or different exposures are intrinsic characteristics and not defects.
Maintenance: After rain, dry the fabrics thoroughly to prevent moisture stains and mold. Avoid prolonged contact with greasy substances or dyes. For washing, useUse water (max 30°C) and neutral, non-abrasive, colorless liquid detergents. If using a pressure device, keep the diffuser tip at least 60/70 cm from the surface of the cushion. Do not use abrasive sponges, bleach, or chlorine.
Can I wash the Tami sofa cushions with a pressure washer?
Yes, the cushion fabrics tolerate pressure washers as long as the nozzle tip is kept at a minimum safety distance of 60/70 cm from the product. However, using a pressure washer on WPC slats is absolutely prohibited, as the concentrated jet could irreparably damage the composite material.
How should I protect the Tami sofa during the winter?
EMU recommends storing the products, perfectly dry, in a closed, ventilated place protected from frost, covering them with protective covers to protect them from dust and dirt. Please note that protective covers or linings are excellent for short-term use (e.g., during a summer storm), but they are no substitute for proper winter storage, as natural moisture buildup under the lining could encourage mold growth on the fabrics.
Which option, WPC or bamboo, requires less maintenance?
WPC slats require no special maintenance, oiling, or painting, and remain unchanged over time with simple cleaning with soap and water. Bamboo, although structurally harder and denser than common wood thanks to heat treatment at 200°C, is a natural and living material. Therefore, it requires the application of a protective oil at least once a year to mitigate the natural graying and oxidation process on the exterior.
