Designer: Raffaello Galiotto is the designer behind all Nardi products.
His approach—combining an artistic background with an early interest in industrial design—aims to highlight the unique qualities of each material, creating designs that showcase both the material's characteristics and the potential of the production processes. He has created over fifty products for Nardi, consistently pushing the technical limits of what is possible with plastic materials.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and established his own industrial design studio in 1993. He began his career working for companies in the furniture sector, gaining extensive experience in the design of large-scale, mass-produced plastic products. He has applied this expertise across various sectors—ranging from indoor and outdoor furniture to kitchens, pet products, and stone design. In the stone sector specifically, he has created innovative products featuring unique surface treatments, earning both national and international awards and recognition. He collaborates with prestigious Italian universities, delivering lectures and talks to international delegations of architects, and serves as a Product Design lecturer at the University of Ferrara. In recent years, he has designed major international stone design events, conducting personal research into unexplored aspects of marble, such as gravity, translucency, reflection, and sustainability. In 2011, the organizers of Stonetech Beijing invited him to hold a solo exhibition dedicated to his marble projects, with the aim of promoting the concept of marble design in China.
