Emu Divano Carousel

The Carousel collection designed by Sebastian Herkner for Emu includes a two-seater sofa with an aluminium structure and a backrest covered in rope for the lounge area syntheticwith tight weave. All the selected materials guarantee resistance and color stability as well as water repellency, which is why the product is particularly suitable for marine environments and in extreme climatic conditions. The Carousel sofa is available in 4 metallic finishes combined with a braided rope, with seat cushion in different colours.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
To maintain the product in good condition, we recommend correct periodic cleaning, particularly frequent in locations characterized by high humidity and a marine climate. It is recommended to clean the surfaces with a soft cloth using water or neutral detergents. Prolonged and uninterrupted exposure to intense UV radiation or very cold temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the colored aesthetic covering made of polyester. We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during periods of prolonged disuse and in winter.
Synthetic rope: Double braid constructed with a polyester or nylon core and a multifilament propylene cover. The external fiber of which it is composed is waterproof and resistant to UV rays.
USE AND MAINTENANCE: It is recommended to clean with a neutral product and a non-abrasive cloth.
Acrylic fabric: for acrylic fabric means a fiber whose basic element is a polymer chain composed of 85% acrylonitrile. The acrylic fiber combines the aesthetic qualities of a luxurious fabric, with a body and touch similar to those of wool, with the functional qualities of resistance to atmospheric agents: it resists UV rays, does not stain and does not rot in water thanks to the speed of drying.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
Avoid prolonged contact with greasy and/or coloring substances which could be absorbed by the covering material and give rise to permanent stains, as well as deteriorating the structure of the yarn. If used near the sea or swimming pools, periodic washing is recommended. Frequent washing: follow the specific instructions for each material shown on the appropriate label. Use water and non-abrasive liquid detergents with neutral PH and colorless. If necessary, leave the detergent to act for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. If using pressure devices, keep the tip of the diffuser at a distance of at least 60/70 cm from the surface of the product. If necessary repeat the operation. Do not use abrasive sponges to remove stains and do not treat with bleach or chlorine.

Designer: Sebastian Herkner was born in 1981 in Bad Mergentheim. He studied product design at HfG Offenbach am Main (Offenbach University of Art and Design), and already during his studies he focused on designing objects and furniture that bring together various cultural contexts, combining new technologies with traditional craftsmanship with the aim of enhancing the multifaceted beauty of the materials and bringing attention to the small details.
Since 2007 he has held several courses at HfG Offenbach am Main as a contract teacher. His designs have received numerous awards, such as the 2011 German Design Award in the New Proposals category, the 2015 EDIDA Award for Best International New Proposal and the Guest of Honor at IMM Cologne 2016.
