Scab stool Koala low backrest

Designed by the Zaven duo for S-CAB, the Koala stool with a low backrest enriches the seating collection of the same name, retaining its unmistakable character, enveloping comfort, and meticulous design. Specifically conceived for more eclectic, informal, and dynamic settings, this model fits naturally into both trendy residential spaces—such as kitchen islands and peninsulas—and high-profile contract projects like bars, lounge bars, and hotels. The structure rests on a sturdy painted steel frame featuring an integrated footrest, while the seat and distinctive low backrest with integrated armrests offer superior ergonomic comfort, combining a clean, modern aesthetic.

Materials and Aesthetic Details

• Architectural Design: The low backrest, developed specifically for the stool variant, creates a lighter, more informal visual profile without compromising ergonomics or armrest support.
• Collection Continuity: The exposed tubular metal frame echoes the chair's refined interplay of straight lines and curves, allowing for stylistic cohesion when coordinating open-plan dining and bar areas.
• Contract-Grade Finishes: A wide range of technical upholstery options—including fire-retardant, water-repellent, and velvet-touch fabrics—makes the Koala stool highly customizable to meet any interior design requirement.
