Horm bench Ripples Outdoor

The Ripples bench by Horm, designed by Toyo Ito and winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 2004, has been updated in an outdoor version thanks to the use of okoume wood, also known as Gaboon. Originating from tropical West Africa, this wood is naturally resistant to humidity and rain, making the bench suitable for exposed outdoor environments, including maritime ones. Ripples maintains its iconic identity intact: a sculptural seat that combines technical precision and formal poetry, an expression of the Japanese master's design sensibility.

Yes, the outdoor version is suitable for constantly humid or salty environments, provided that regular maintenance is performed, taking care to rinse it periodically with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.

Does it require special maintenance?
It is sufficient to clean it periodically with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding aggressive detergents or pressure washers. During the winter season, it is recommended to store it in a sheltered place.
