Lose yourself in pleasant moments of relaxation, cradled by the Alabama rocking chair.

The result of complex and meticulous work entirely handmade, the rocking armchair stands out for its sophisticated Italian design and the nobility of the artisan tradition.

The cushions are in fabric, removable, easy to wash and resistant to atmospheric agents.

Designer: Marco Acerbis

Marco Acerbis was born in 1973 and completed his studies in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1998. From 1997 to 2004 he lived and worked in London where he collaborated with the Foster & Partners studio. In these years he was involved in the construction of an eight-storey building for scientific research at Imperial College and became Project Manager of Capital City Academy, a high school for 1400 students, 250 meters long and inaugurated by Tony Blair. In 2004, upon returning to Italy, he opened his own architecture and design studio. Fascinated by design without limits of scale, he proceeds rapidly, exploring countless themes with a constant intertwining of skills, intuitions and technologies, with the aim of creating a global project space. The Vertigo lamp, designed for Fontana Arte, quickly becomes both a best seller and a timeless icon and is included in the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum.
The Prius handle designed for Colombo Design wins the Honorable Mention at XXI Compasso d'Oro. The Kloe armchair designed for Desalto wins the Red Dot Design Award 2009 and the Wave tap designed for IB Rubinetterie wins the Red Dot Design Award 2015. His interest in the themes of contemporary living also leads him to actively engage in the world of architecture eco-sustainable with the construction of POLINS, Strategic Innovation Hub, CasaClima Class A+ certified building.
