Horm Chandelier Plywood

Creativity and technological innovation come together in this luminous sculpture built with a two millimeter thick wooden material, laser engraved and folded like origami thanks to a complex technological process patented by Horm.

The LED light, filtering through the holes in the structure, reproduces unique plays of shadows in the surrounding environment that allow Steven Holl to give the same emotion that can be felt in his architecture, with a simple leap in scale.

MATERIALS:
Chandelier composed of a lampshade made with a material created and patented by Horm composed of a sandwich of wood (canaletto walnut) and fabric with a thickness of 2.2 mm which , thanks to superficial incisions made with laser cutting, it is folded like origami. Fixing to the ceiling using a steel plate and adjustable steel suspension wires.
