The RIO lounge armchair is part of a complete collection of seats consisting of a dining chair and armchair, a lounge armchair also available in the rocking version, stool and low table. RIO R50 has an ASFORM type steel tube structure, high quality steel with high mechanical capabilities and high resistance to weight load. The workmanship gives the tube a strongly distinctive sign, a letter R, which can be identified in the junction area between the seat and the backrest. All structural welds are carried out with Mig technology which gives greater resistance to stress and reduces the risk of rust while the network of steel rods is electro-welded to the structure for greater precision. Like all EMU steel products, a cataphoresis pre-treatment is provided and subsequently a painting treatment with thermosetting powder, which gives the product a layer of paint with a homogeneous thickness with a high degree of adhesion and resistance. The presence of nylon insoles supports the ease of movement and protection of the ends of the product.

DESIGNER: GARGANO-CRISTELL

Emanuel Gargano was born in Assisi, in Umbria where he developed creatively and sentimentally and where he still maintains his home, despite the numerous experiences that often see him present in many places in the world and which led him to establish his I study in London. It is difficult to confine his multifaceted activity to a single professional field since his work ranges from architecture to industrial design, from contemporary art to the study of light. Over the years he has obtained various awards, the latest being the prestigious Compasso d'Oro. His work reveals a profound fascination for the matter of natural and synthetic elements that he uses and shapes, in search of their inner soul; probably the same thing that life is continuing to do with him day by day.

Anton Cristell was born in 1972 in New York. During his studies at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) in Boston he worked as an illustrator for various magazines and in the advertising field. In 2001 he decided to move to Rome to open his own design studio. He began a long activity linked above all to the commercial sector and the world of catering, in which he managed to merge architecture, design and graphics.
