From the collaboration between EMU and Patricia Urquiola was born Re-Trouvé, a collection of metal furniture that evokes a classic design, reinterpreting it with extreme irony and originality. Thanks to EMU's advanced technology in metal processing, the curls of the iron rod, which once enriched and adorned the handcrafted armchairs, are now made through an industrial process that results in furnishings characterized by complex motifs with repeated lozenges. The geometry of the design gives three-dimensionality to the objects, whose curvilinear shape outlines furnishings with a sweet and sensual appearance, characterized by an elegance of times gone by. Chair, armchair and pouf are made of pre-galvanized rod, seat in tubular steel and expanded metal. Re-Trouvé is available in black and white. As evidence of the flexibility of the industrial process with which the furnishings of the Re-Trouvé family are made, the starting element of the armchair becomes the structure of the large vase, while the starting element of the chair becomes the structure of the table and the small vase . The tables have solid sheet metal tops while the vases are completed with a glazed terracotta planter from Deruta. The collection integrates very well in both classic and contemporary contexts.
