The asymmetric curves are the inspiration behind the Oltremare armchair which completes, together with the padded bench, the new collection created by Saba Italia.
A comfortable nest suspended on a slender painted metal base, whose essential lines make the silhouette even more interesting by contrast.‎‎ The seat is soft and the backrest, apparently rigid, is instead extremely welcoming.‎

The “Oltremare” seating collection is designed by Antonio Marras and created in collaboration with Saba.

It is a consolidated creative liaison between the stylist/artist Antonio Marras and Saba, a synergistic relationship that gives life to unique and highly poetic seats, covered in prints created ad-hoc or even interpreted with fabrics selected from the maison's archive . In addition to the clothing component of the products, Antonio worked in a team with Saba designers to create some collections. The meeting of artistic flair with company know-how has given rise to particularly appreciated sessions. Antonio Marras was born in Alghero, Sardinia. A land that profoundly marks its stylistic signature. He made his debut in fashion in 1987 by chance, but fashion has always been part of Antonio's cultural heritage, thanks to the experience gained in his family, which already owned some boutiques in Alghero. The first collection that bears his name arrives in 1996, in Rome, with a couture fashion show, in which all the key elements of his style are already present: the attention to craftsmanship, Sardinia as a source of inspiration that does not arrive never to the banality of folklore and tailoring as dictat. In March 1999, in Milan, the first time of his ready-to-wear. In 2003 he was invited by the French group LVMH to become artistic director of the fashion house Kenzo who remained Antonio's traveling companion for eight years, until 2011. In May 2007 the second line I'M ISOLA MARRAS was born which debuted with the A/W season 2008-09. Not a second line but rather a more immediate and decoded Marras world. Antonio sets up his headquarters in Milan, but he will never give up living where he grew up, moving around, travelling, but always returning to Alghero to find creativity, inspiration, positive energy, material for his expressive universe.
