Saba Italia Essentiel sofa

The Essentiel sofa is available in the fixed version, in four different sizes (154 – 190 – 220 – 250 cm) and in the modular one which is characterized by extreme flexibility, as the modules can be combined in numerous ways, in accordance with the needs of space and style, divided into a vast choice of laterals, peninsulas and terminals. Furthermore, the possibility of customization also extends to the cushions, in two sizes and also available in the variant equipped with a support roller. 

The careful ergonomic study makes the sofa an excellence in terms of comfort, while the quilted back cushions, the caneté cord profiling in the double version in gray or rope colour, the painted feet, testify to the attention to detail that it is always a trademark of Saba Italia production. From an aesthetic point of view, the Essentiel sofa represents the point of contact between the typical minimalism of Scandinavian taste and the great tradition of Italian hospitality, made of craftsmanship and refinement. To complete the fascinating design framework, the Essentiel armchair is added, with a sophisticated personality, which can possibly be made in a contrasting color to that of the sofa. Wooden structure padded with polyurethane foam of different densities (21IM – 30P – 40IP – 75IP) covered with interliner coupled with 200g/m2 resin.
Feet: painted shaped steel h 17 cm
Padding: the seat cushions are padded with polyurethane foam of different densities (35Ip – 25IM), covered with 350g/m2 polyester fibre. The backrest cushions are made of polyester fiber mixed with washed and sterilized goose down divided into compartments and covered with 100% white down-proof cotton fabric. The cylinder of the high back cushions is padded with 30IP polyurethane foam covered with velveteen coupled with 100g/m2 resin.

Born in 1953, he left his classical studies and began, almost by chance, his experience in the upholstered furniture sector. Fascinated by the world around him, he enthusiastically dedicates himself to researching forms and construction techniques which he puts to use in the companies where he works. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and 1993 was the year he met Saba Italia. New challenges and new stimuli will lead to the birth of the “Nomade Sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel, Avant-Après. Creations that arise from reflection on the new desires that push us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that allow us to change with simple gestures, playing with shapes.
