Metal rod bookcase
The Metrica modular bookcase by Mogg is a modern and versatile piece of furniture, made of painted metal in three elegant finishes and completed with glass shelves. Available in several sizes, thanks to its modular design it can be configured by combining side-by-side or overlapping modules, for a bookcase tailored to one's needs.
Metrica's structure is composed of thin metal rods arranged at different intervals, creating unique spaces to display books or decorative objects, which in turn enrich and complete the bookcase's refined design.
Design by: CTRLZAK STUDIO, 2017
CTRLZAK is a hybrid studio that works between art and design by integrating different disciplines and cultures. The founders, Katia Meneghini and Thanos Zakopoulos, are both artists and designers and their creations are inspired by their travels, experiences and above all by the rich background of their cultures, Italian and Greek respectively. The studio realises projects, creates spaces, objects and situations, where people are often involved in a relational process of interaction.
CTRLZAK's projects are created through the intense research of traditions and cultural context, investigating the past to shape a new hybrid future. This is precisely CTRLZAK's approach: taking steps forward while always looking back, questioning the past to project into the future through the present, with awareness. All projects are stories waiting to be told with different methods of narration, through a variety of forms and with multiple conclusions, where irony and symbolism go beyond aesthetics and functionality, with the aim of activating mechanisms for reflection.
