Aluminium
Aluminum alloys, particularly suitable for cold working and die casting, appropriately treated to resist atmospheric agents and powder coated.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
/>To keep the product in good condition for a long time, we recommend correct periodic cleaning, particularly frequent in locations characterized by high humidity and a marine climate. It is recommended to clean the surfaces with a soft cloth using water or neutral detergents. Prolonged and uninterrupted exposure to intense UV radiation or very cold temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the colored aesthetic covering made of polyester. We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during periods of prolonged disuse and in winter.

Teak
Traditional wood used in outdoor furniture with a timeless exotic charm, teak is a hardwood with a high oil content suitable for outdoor use without the need for painting treatment. If it does not receive any protective treatment, the surface will take on a silver gray patina, a natural protection of the internal part of the wood, considered an essential element of the charm of teak. The teak used for EMU products is FSC® certified.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
Since it is a natural material, variations in color may be observed between one product and another or between the components of the same product. Furthermore, in case of sudden changes in temperature and depending on the humidity level, cracks may also occur. If not subjected to any maintenance treatment through the periodic application of common and specific oil-based protectants, the surface will take on a silver gray patina which can also be eliminated with light surface sanding and subsequent polishing with a jute cloth. Small surface stains due to oil or other food products must be removed promptly, before the wood can absorb them deeply, by sanding the affected surface and polishing with a jute cloth. Stains from coffee, juices, natural drinks, without added preservatives, can be promptly removed with water and a soft cloth. When the wood gets wet for the first time it is normal for the surface to become a little rough and, once dry, the initial smoothness can be restored with a light surface sanding and subsequent polishing with a jute cloth. Teak is a natural material that absorbs water and is rich in oils. As time passes, these oils, by a natural process, rise to the surface and can stain any cushions that have been used. Stains on cushions can be removed using soap and water.

Designer: Arik Levy
“Creation is an uncontrolled muscle” according to Arik Levy (born 1963).
Artist, technician, photographer, designer, video-artist : Levy is a multifaceted professional whose works are exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums around the world. Best known for his sculptures including the Rock series, installations, limited editions and art projects, Levy however states that “The world is made of people, not objects.”
Born in Israel, then moved to Europe after his first participation in a collective sculpture exhibition in Tel-Aviv in 1986, Levy currently works in an atelier in Paris.
He has an unconventional background, having dedicated a lot of time to surfing in his home country, as well as his art and graphic design atelier. After completing his studies at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland, he graduated in Industrial Design in 1991.
After a period spent in Japan, where he consolidated his ideas by creating products and works of art for exhibitions, Levy returned in Europe where he gave his artistic contribution in another field, that of contemporary dance and opera with the preparation of various sets.
The creation of his own atelier meant the return to his first love, the art and industrial design, as well as other branches of his multifaceted talent.
Considering himself now more than anything else as an artist of "feeling", Arik Levy continues to contribute considerably to our internal and external environment, with works of public sculpture, as well as creating complete environments suitable for multiple uses.
“Life is a system of signs and symbols,” he says, “where nothing is entirely as it appears.”
