USE AND MAINTENANCE
To keep the product in good condition for a long time, we recommend correct periodic cleaning, particularly frequent in locations characterized by high humidity and a marine climate. It is recommended to clean the surfaces with a soft cloth using water or neutral detergents. Prolonged and uninterrupted exposure to intense UV radiation or very cold temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the colored aesthetic covering made of polyester. We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during periods of prolonged disuse and in winter.
Acrylic fabric: acrylic fabric means a fiber whose basic element is a polymer chain composed of 85% acrylonitrile. The acrylic fiber combines the aesthetic qualities of a luxurious fabric, with a body and touch similar to those of wool, with the functional qualities of resistance to atmospheric agents: it resists UV rays, does not stain and does not rot in water thanks to the speed of drying.
USE AND MAINTENANCE: Avoid prolonged contact with greasy and/or coloring substances which could be absorbed by the covering material and give rise to permanent stains, as well as deteriorating the structure of the yarn. If used near the sea or swimming pools, periodic washing is recommended. Frequent washing: follow the specific instructions for each material shown on the appropriate label. Use water and non-abrasive liquid detergents with neutral PH and colorless. If necessary, leave the detergent to act for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. If using pressure devices, keep the tip of the diffuser at a distance of at least 60/70 cm from the surface of the product. If necessary repeat the operation. Do not use abrasive sponges to remove stains and do not treat with bleach or chlorine.
Samuel Wilkinson founded his own industrial design studio at the end of 2007 and a year later, in 2008, Wilkinson completed his greatest creation, the co-design of L'arbre de Flonville in Lausanne, Switzerland. The installation marked the start of a series of large-scale projects as part of a redevelopment project of an old industrial area in the Le Flon district. The work consists of a contemporary city square, with a 16 meter high metal sculptural tree, surrounded by a series of benches shaped as if they were roots, which rest on a red rubber floor. His recent design of the Plumen 001 light bulb and 'Vessel Series' hand-blown glass lamps for Decode London have earned Samuel international acclaim. Plumen 001 won the important "2011 Design of the Year" award from the London Design Museum, as well as the coveted 'Black pencil' from the D&AD. The studio's work diversifies across a variety of disciplines, from consumer products to the public sector. Samuel Wilkinson's commitment and enthusiasm in designing captivating objects and spaces that arouse interest is evident in each of his creations, always seeking an original and dynamic approach, both in form and function.
