The Servomuto coffee table is part of the "servi collection" designed by Achille Castiglioni, and is an element of the extended family of service objects created by the Castiglioni brothers starting from the 1960s. This coffee table was presented for the first time, without a name, at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1974, enjoying little public success. Over time, and after its baptism in "Servomuto", it became one of the best-selling objects of the Zanotta house and conquered the role of archetype of an unprecedented type of furnishing accessory.
The polypropylene base with minimal space, the thin stem with the convenient knob that can be grasped to move it, the round top that makes it a service table, are all iconic features of the ingenious Servomuto coffee table.

Designed by Servi di Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, 1974
