Designer: Luigi Semeraro

Luigi Semeraro, born in Varese in 1978, interior and product designer, graduated from the Faculty of Design at the Polytechnic of Milan. During his training he was able to enrich himself with academic and professional experiences in Italy and abroad, ranging from product to interior design up to graphic design and street art. He began his career as a designer by creating “PIU YIU” with a project team, a Chinese temporary restaurant, presented at the Dining Contest of the 2004 satellite show in collaboration with “Sawaya & Moroni” and the Faculty of Design of the Polytechnic of Milan. In 2005 he collaborated with Mario and Claudio Bellini, developing projects for Heller, Caimi, Schiavello, Frezza and Natuzzi. Subsequently he collaborates with the Lorenz-Kaz studio, developing various products for DePadova and creating the Corian Dupont showroom in Milan. In 2006 he created the ULW Urban Lightwalk installation for the Fuori Salone at the Super Studio Più in Zona Tortona, within a design team coordinated by Claudio LaViola and the PoliDesign consortium. In 2007 he began an individual career by participating in the Salone Satellite, presenting a selection of furnishings within a collective. In 2008 he designed two rooms for the hip EOS hotel in Lecce (VestasHotels Group), collaborated on the preliminary project of the QueenVillage in Cattolica with the Pierandrei Associati studio and created the concept for the ERA Italy real estate franchising for Europa Diritti. In 2010 he repeated the experience at the Salone Satellite by presenting a new collection of products and furnishings for the home under the collective LA MACCHINA SFORNA IDEE. In the academic field he has gained various experiences as a subject expert at the Faculty of Design at the Milan Polytechno for various interior design and product design courses. He has been an assistant for several workshops of important companies, including Sawaya and Moroni, Breil and Technogym. Currently his work is divided between interior projects, collaborations with companies, design studios and the activity of street artist, contaminating the different disciplines drawing mutual inspiration.
