Designer: Yiannis Ghikas

Yiannis Ghikas was born in Athens, Greece. With his background he embraces a passion for IT that goes further to Design, through which he employs functionality as the ultimate purpose of his designs, while exploring possible emotional responses. He conceives Design as a process of satisfying both material and immaterial needs. His "Monarchia" stool received the "red dot design" award (2009). He has collaborated with companies such as Feld (Belgium), Objekten (Belgium), Miniforms (Italy), Convesso (Greece), the Gas Industrial Museum/Athens. His work has been exhibited internationally.
