The Aviva collection by Magis, designed by Marc Berthier in the late 1970s, was born as a response to the increasing mobility and dynamism of the urban lifestyle. Produced for approximately twenty years and reissued in 2010, it represents an icon of functional design: a family of folding chairs that combines practicality, sturdiness, and a timeless aesthetic. When closed, Aviva becomes completely flat, taking up very little space, making it ideal for modern homes, contract environments, and settings where space optimization is important. Made entirely of solid beech wood, available in various finishes, it stands out for its minimalist design and the quality of its high-level industrial production.
