Idelfonso Colombo, a graduate in Industrial Design from the Faculty of Design at the Milan Polytechnic, received third prize in the ‘Young & Design’ competition in 1997 with his ‘ildoga’ kitchen project. This award was significant, as for the first time a furniture programme was awarded instead of a single object. Colombo still collaborates with the Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches in the product design laboratories for innovation.
Since 1998, he has been the owner of the studio ‘Colombo Idelfonso Industrial Designer,’ specialising in product design, technical consultancy, art direction, and the development of trade fair stands and commercial spaces, with a focus on the furniture sector. The studio is dedicated to finding solutions that meet clients' needs, including major companies in the sector. Colombo is involved in the creation of innovative concepts that explore new markets and meet new needs, always keeping a close eye on the industrial process, an area of which he has a profound knowledge.
Parallel to this activity, he has developed the role of interior designer, creating turnkey furnishing solutions for hotels, villas and residential complexes.
