Mia, designed by the iconic French architect Jean Nouvel, is a collection of seats characterized by essential and rigorous lines, designed to have extreme structural resistance together with practicality of use; a collection destined to become an urban icon of the future, suitable to satisfy transversal tastes and needs. Designed and certified as an outdoor product, it can adapt very well to indoor contexts both in the private sector and in prestigious hotels. The lightness of the structure of the chairs and the shape of the seat and armrests allow them to be positioned in a practical way (the version with armrests) on the table top, allowing cleaning and tidying operations to be carried out easily. The seats are stackable as are the stools. Entirely Made in Italy, Mia is available in different color variations.

Design: Jean Nouvel

Jean Nouvel was born in 1945 in Fumel, a city in the south-east of France. During his period of study at the Parisian School of Fine Arts, he worked with Claude Parent, a renowned French architect, and later with the philosopher-urbanist Paul Virilio. In 1970, together with François Seigneur, he founded his first agency and the following year, after graduating, he met the critic Georges Boudaille who introduced him as the architect of the Paris Biennial of the same year.
Always attentive to architectural needs of cities and citizens, Jean Nouvel is one of the founders of the "March 1976" movement, of the "Architecture Syndicate" and is one of the main supporters of the intervention of various international architects for the redevelopment of the Halles district of Paris. Nouvel architect and designer has won numerous awards and received much recognition over the last few years. We can mention the silver medal of the Académie d'Architecture in 1980 and the “Gran Prix d'Architecture” for all his works in 1987. In the same year he won the “Equerre d'Argent” for his excellent design work in the context of minimalist furniture. His work is exhibited in the best international museums such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Museum of Modern Art Exposeum and the Center Pompidou in Paris.
