Ethimo Poltrona Lounge Venexia

Venexia is a garden armchair in fabric and aluminum with armrests by Ethimo, design Luca Nichetto.

The lounge collection draws inspiration from 19th century urban design, to which it adds the aesthetic and functional aspects of furnishings intended for contemporary residential or contract use, with the aim of improving the quality of outdoor spaces, guaranteeing a new experience of well-being en plein air.
The structure of the furnishings, which visually recalls the ancient railings, is formed by a refined and harmonious rhythm of very thin aluminum slats modeled thanks to the use of ad hoc molds to ensure the equality of all the elements. The formal result is a collection with important proportions, visually light, but which at the same time conveys sensations of solidity and robustness.
Venexia is composed of lounge armchairs, two-seater sofas, chaise longues, which can live individually or be combined together to create a large sofa or daybed. The collection also includes coffee tables with tops in lava stone or glazed terracotta, available in two sizes, with a diameter of 90cm and a height of 42.5cm or with a diameter of 60cm and a height of 48cm. The modularity of the elements thus offers the possibility of creating pleasant compositions to furnish the most diverse outdoor environments, with a delicate sense of harmony for comfortable socializing.
The soft and generous cushions that complete the seats are characterized by a perfectly waterproof padding, made with recycled materials, and covered with 100% outdoor fabrics of exceptional softness. With their special texture, the cushions help to create an even more surprising visual effect.
Available in dark grey, the structure of Venexia is treated with powder paints, to guarantee greater durability outdoors and maintain the its beauty over time.
In the contemporary outdoors, a new design concept is making its way which reinterprets the traditional definition of aluminum furniture and which, taking inspiration from the past, proposes an ergonomic, complete, flexible system with a strong personality, where design becomes pure comfort and practicality.

Designer: Luca Nichetto

Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976. He studied at the city's State Art Institute before undertaking a course of study in industrial design at the Iuav University of Venice, where he graduated in 1998. In 1999 Nichetto began his professional career at the Salviati glass factory in Murano, and then became a product designer and consultant for the lighting engineering company Foscarini. In 2006 he founded his eponymous studio in Venice. In 2011 he moved to the Swedish capital Stockholm to open a second studio, while continuing to live and work from the lagoon city. Over the course of his career, Nichetto has worked as an art director for countless international design brands, an activity that allows him to acquire considerable skills in this sector.
